About Us

Want to know more about us and why we do what all we do here at the Darkmoon Times? Come on in and pull up a seat! Above is all members of the Darkmoon Times together in a somewhat organized group picture.

About Us

We are long time World of Warcraft players who love the Warcraft community. When the end of expansion blues start to creep in, we always made it through without unsubbing because of the community. We read blogs such as Restokin’s, who would get us excited to try a new druid spec. We would check the Daily Blink and laugh because we could relate to the comics. We would charge on to battlegrounds because Cranius showed us how overpowered you could be in a blue dress. To this day, we listen to “I Love Raiding” to remind us of the memories we made with our guilds and how every new raid has potential for more.

Finding a Home

Blizzard built and updates this amazing game we play, but the community of content creators and fan sites have turned it into a home. For this, we are extremely thankful. We were talking recently about different people we follow on social media, and we were discussing how hard it is to find people these days. We know new (and old) players who had no idea what the Ironman Challenge was or why we were excited to get followers in our garrison like Mychele Morrowsong.

Building a Dream

We wanted to build something that would help players find and fall in love with this community as much as we have. We started thinking about who in Azeroth is all about community, and protecting/expanding it. It was easy to decide that the Darkmoon Faire was the perfect place for the job. So, Welcome to Darkmoon Times where I ,Silas, run the show! All have a place here, so get some tickets; grab a drink; and have a great time!

Silas is the founder of the Darkmoon Faire along with the Darkmoon Times. He's always happy to welcome a new face, but will not tolerate ruckus within his faire. When he's not working on the Darkmoon Faire, Silas enjoys roaming Darkmoon's coast in the search for lost treasures.
